Scholarships

The 99’s -Ninety-Nines International Organization offers Scholarships in each of the following categories:

Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarships – *99’s AME SCHOLARSHIP* for members of the Ninety-Nines to support a variety of aviation career goals, including flight training, mechanic and air traffic control certifications, or college education in an aviation-related field. First Wings Scholarships – to support student pilot members in completion of the Recreational, Sport, or Private Pilot certificate. Offered in spring and fall.

Research Scholar Grants – to support academic research preserving the history of women in aviation and encouraging the growth of women in the field

Northwest Ninety-Nines ($15,000) The Hannah Dollick Memorial Scholarship aims to honor Hannah and continue her legacy by supporting self-motivated and passionate female pilots through their own flight training. Open until Jan 31, 2025.

99’s Mid Atlantic Section Scholarship ~ approx. $5,000 for 99’s that are continuing their training in the Aviation Fields. ( This is NOT for Student Pilots or Initial Pilot Training.) Open until Apr 15, 2025.

Sugarloaf Chapter (amount varies per year) open to all rating levels and other aviation activities. Open Jan 15-Apr 2, 2025.

Ginny Carlin Memorial Scholarship (Not to exceed $1,000) This scholarship will be awarded in honor of lifetime member Ginny Carlin. The award will be used to cover a checkride fee in pursuit of a certificate or add on. Open until March 10, 2025.

Manitoba 99s Scholarships (Multiple) Women are encouraged to apply to all scholarships they are eligible for each year. Some scholarships are offered several times a year, including the C-FLUG Scholarship, Broadening Horizons Scholarship and IFR Flight Simulator Scholarships. Women are invited to apply for each and every offering by the application due date.

The Keystone Chapter offers our own scholarship to assist women in pursuing their aviation goals, including attaining a private license or any additional rating. Any girl or woman who resides in eastern Pennsylvania, including the Lehigh Valley north to the New York state border, is eligible. Awards are based on financial need and must be approved by a majority of the Keystone Chapter membership. Application Window TBD
